This book is different from my previous two. “Torrejon during the Cold War” was the history of the base, its squadrons and all the planes that passed through Torrejon, from its opening in 1957 to the launch of the 401st TFW in 1992. My second book, “Operation Reflex, the B-47 in action”, chronicled the operations of the B-47 bombers that were rotated to England, Morocco, and Spain. This current work is totally different and has nothing to do with the previous two, other than it is about the United States Air Forces in Europe (USAFE), but only about one aircraft, the F-4 Phantom II.

Sobre Manuel Carazo
Manuel Carazo nació en Estados Unidos en 1962. Es especialista en geoestrategia, defensa, inteligencia y protocolo militar. Fue miembro de la junta directiva de la Marine Corps Association & Foundation. Parte de su vida la pasó entre el F-4D, F-4E y el F-4G y entre los F-16 Fighting Falcons. También es autor de los libros, Base aérea de Torrejón, España, Torrejón durante la Guerra Fría, Operación Reflex, el B-47 en acción (estos dos últimos libros fueron Finalistas en el Premio a la Excelencia del Libro) . Sus dos últimos libros han recibido numerosas menciones por parte de las Fuerzas Aéreas de los Estados Unidos y ambos libros se encuentran en la Biblioteca del Congreso de los Estados Unidos. Torrejón during the Cold War y Operation Reflex the B-47 in action se encuentran en la Biblioteca Central del Ejército del Aire y en la Biblioteca del Smithsonian en Washington D.C.
